San Lorenzo Market
The San Lorenzo Market boasts stalls selling anything from clothes to souvenirs and local handicraft items, but the most precious good is definitely the high-quality leather used in garments and accessories. The perimeter of the market is dotted with workshops displaying their products outside as well, to attract both tourists and locals. Feeling a little hungry? Visit the Central Market, inside the San Lorenzo neighborhood. It has typical alternatives to soothe all palates.
Duomo
The Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore, better known as the Duomo di Firenze (Florence Cathedral), is undoubtedly the city's most iconic monument. This Gothic church was designed in the late 13th century by Arnolfo di Cambio, who was only able to work on it for 6 years, as he died in 1302. He was replaced by other great artists such as Giotto, Andrea Pisani and Talenti. Its majestic cupola, by Brunelleschi, is riveting to the point that our basilica is famous all over the world.
